THE JOURNEY IS BEFORE US.....LETS RUN THE RACE!!!!

Hebrew 12:1 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us."

PERSEVERANCE- patient endurance of hardship; persisting in a state of difficulties and discouragement.

There are several points to look at in this passage, but the two important ones in my own personal testimony are:
1. God has a particular race, a unique plan, for each of us.
2. We need to be willing to get rid of all the unnecessary baggage, the past failures, in our lives that keep us stuck.

Some of you, like myself, may have been hurt deeply by a friend or loved one; may be bound by guilt; may be confused; may feel helpless; may feel like no one understands you; may feel anxious, worried, and afraid. THERE IS HOPE.....

We need to do as Isaiah 43:18 tells us: "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past."

We can all learn from our past, offer forgiveness, make amends, and then release it. Only then can we be free to enjoy THE JOURNEY BEFORE US and "run with perseverance the race marked out for us."
